Graduate Student ResearcherAugust 2026 – Present
- Extending an ultrasound-based watermarking framework to video calls, utilizing a fragile watermark that breaks under tampering or synthetic generation to authenticate human users in real time and detect deepfakes.
Kann Lab, UMBCBaltimore, MD
Undergraduate Student ResearcherAugust 2024 – June 2025
- Curated a cohort of 274 TKI-treated NSCLC patients from AACR Project GENIE (1,846 patients, 2,004 samples), extracting 1,694 mutations and 964 copy number alterations as genomic features.
- Designed 9 experiments predicting overall survival from mutation, CNA, and combined features, including drug-specific analyses for erlotinib, afatinib, and osimertinib.
- Trained and evaluated Logistic Regression, SVM, Random Forest, and XGBoost classifiers with stratified 5-fold cross-validation, reporting accuracy, precision, recall, and F1.
- Performed feature importance analysis across models, recovering established NSCLC biomarkers (TP53, KRAS, EGFR, STK11/KEAP1 co-mutations) as top predictors of survival.
Teaching Experience
CMSC 331: Principles of Programming Languages, UMBCBaltimore, MD
Graduate Teaching AssistantAugust 2026 – Present
- Graded assignments and exams for a 70-student course.
- Held weekly office hours supporting students with course concepts and programming assignments.
- Proctored quizzes, midterm, and final examinations.
